Greetings Kingdom Citizens,
Grace to you, and peace be multiplied to you through the revealed Word of God and Jesus The Anointed One our King.
I have a question for you today. Who’s kingdom are you being dominated by? The World’s, or Gods? Jesus said the Kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. Here is the Gods Word Translation of this verse.
12. From the time of John the Baptizer until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful people have been seizing it. Matt. 11:12
I like this version because it’s closes to the original Greek, and it makes it plain that there is another kingdom out there. It is also obvious that this is not a kick-back kingdom, but a kingdom that demands its citizens to come to it willfully, and forcefully. The force is necessary because the enemy comes to steal the Word that is sown in the heart. Our king Jesus was telling His royal citizens that if you are tired of being dominated by fear, and hopelessness come to Him because He has the answer. No, in fact He is the answer.
28 “Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.
29. Place my yoke over your shoulders, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble. Then you will find rest for yourselves
30. because my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matt: 11:28-30
When you have the wrong kind of king ruling you the people suffer greatly. When you have a righteous king the people flourish. Israel requested a king instead of being Prophet led (righteous leadership), and the result was disastrous! They would get a king that was going to misuse the resources for his benefit and ruin the hopes of the people.
10. And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that
asked of him a king.
11. And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over
you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his
chariots, and to be his horsemen; Request personal prophetic word and some shall run before his chariots.
12. And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains
over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest,
and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.
14. And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards,
even the best of them, and give them to his servants.
15. And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and
give to his officers, and to his servants. I Samuel 8:10-12,14-15
I chose to paste most of this passage because it will help make the point of why Jesus came to earth. He came to establish His Kingdom in a foreign territory, and to impose His will, mind, and culture for His citizens. His people were being demoralized, and fear of the government was the tactic. Sound familiar? Sound like what we are going through as a democracy? In verse 15 it got so bad that through taxes the king took a tenth (tithe) of the money and the real-estate for his own cabinet members.
We see that today as our government officials vote their own raises, and keep us under the thumb of big industry. Billions of dollars are spent on the war in the middle east, while our citizens are paying or not able to pay for healthcare. We should be enjoying the benefit of universal healthcare, and daycare for that matter.
Instead our young men are dying for black gold, Texas Tea.
56. Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel,
according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all
his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.
I Kings 8:56
This is what Jesus wants for His people, His citizens. He doesn’t want us to wish for the great escape to heaven. He wants to show off the Kingdom of God through us. He wants us to be law enforcement for the gospel of the Kingdom and legislate laws and policies that we who are in this foreign jurisdiction can impart change for the greater peace. He wants us to enforce the law of faith hope and love and allow God to keep all of His good promise which He promised by the Words of Jesus our King!
